Most of us spend most of our time indoors, so optimizing the quality of the air we breath thousands of times a day can provide tremendous benefits when making our 1% marginal improvements. On the other hand, breathing in unhealthy air throughout the day and night can make it hard to overcome heath challenges.
The knife cuts both ways.
Major sources of stuff in our air that can make sick include:
- off gasing furniture
- mold
- radon
- carpets
- volatile organic compounds (VOCs) from paints, electronics and furniture
- household cleaning products
- outdoor air pollution that gets trapped in your home
If this is not an area you’ve looked at very much yet, then you may find some great gains can be made by spending some time assessing and improving your air quality.
