Did you know that there is a simple set of non-invasive tests to check your brain development?
Primitive reflexes are a set of movements that we are born able to do that have to do with early survival - suckle, startle, rolling over, etc.
But when brain development doesn’t proceed optimally, then these reflexes are retained and this can be associated with neurodevelopmental and cognitive issues (and these do not need to be severe enough to be diagnosed!) or even immune issues.
I don’t think there are accurate estimates of what percent of the population still has retained primitive reflexes but I don’t think it’s uncommon and as testing is straightforward it is worth checking, especially if you have mental, emotional, immune, energy or neurological symptoms that you contend with.
This video shows what the exam looks like. This can be done by a partner.
His website actually includes the exercises that you would do to inhibit any reflexes found.
Here you can see the same reflexes tested using simple exercises. (I don’t know anything about their course so bear with them as they plug it after each exercise! It looks promising though).
I’m not familiar with their course so bear with them as they plug it after each explanation! But it gives some simple exercises to do to do a basic assessment. It is helpful to have someone watch you as they may be able to notice things you aren’t aware of.
